Though a major championship has evaded him, will this be the year that Matt Kuchar wins The Masters? Will he even be playing in the 2018 Masters Tournament?

Ever since going pro out of Georgia Tech back in 2000, American golfer Matt Kuchar has been one of the most popular golfers on the PGA Tour. Though he hasn’t exactly, you know, gotten it done in a major, he remains in contention often during the final days of some major tournaments. So is he playing in The Masters this year?

Yes, Kuchar will be playing in the 2018 Masters Tournament. No way he was going to miss it this year. Kuchar will be in one of the more high-profile pairings on Thursday afternoon. He will take to the links at 1:27 p.m. ET on Thursday afternoon with the likes of Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler. That’s quite the trio if you ask me.

This trio will again be grouped together on Friday, April 6. They will reach the tee box at 10:31 a.m. ET. The bigger question isn’t if this grouping will be drawing a big crowd, which it surely will, but will Kuchar be able to hang tough with the likes of Lefty and Rickie?

Kuchar had one of his best major appearances to date during the 2012 Masters. He came in third place that year. Unfortunately, he had to see Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuzien duke it out in sudden death.

Given that his alma mater is only two hours away from Augusta, maybe this is the year Kuchar gets off the proverbial major monkey off his back and wins the whole darn thing? Be sure to not miss a second of Masters action being played this weekend at Augusta National.
