Round 3 of the 2018 Masters Tournament is underway at Augusta National. Here are the highlights from the third day in the quest for the green jacket.

With 36 holes in the books at Augusta National the 82nd Masters Tournament has reached the midway point. Patrick Reed sits a top the leader board by two strokes at 9-under par to start Saturday’s competition. Trailing closely behind “Captain America” is Australia’s Marc Leishman at 7-under.

A notable who’s who of contenders find themselves with four strokes back or more but still within striking distance. Henrik Stenson sits alone in 3rd place at 5-under and will be paired with Rory McIlroy Saturday. Tied at 4-under with McIlroy is 2015 Masters winner Jordan Spieth who will play alongside world number-one ranked Dustin Johnson who battled back Friday to get to 3-under par for the tournament.

While seven shots off the lead may seem like a daunting task the tides at Augusta can swing wildly in the blink of an eye. A pack of hungry contenders currently sits at 2-under to start the day. Most notably Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, Tony Finau and last year’s runner-up Justin Rose all will look to move into contention come Sunday.
