2. Celtics over Rockets, Dec. 28

This game was on track to be a blowout, but in typical Boston Celtics fashion, it ended up being one of the most spectacular comebacks of the season.

When Trevor Ariza buried a 3 to put the Rockets up 26 with 2:02 in the second quarter, it looked like the second half was just a formality. But the Celtics put the pressure on in the third quarter and started a steady march back. With 5:43 left in the third, it was 71-48, Houston.

By the end of the quarter, it was 78-69. The Celtics kept clawing their way back, but Houston finally started to get its back as the score tightened. It wasn’t until Al Horford put Boston ahead with 3.0 seconds left that the Celtics finally took the lead — and never relinquished it.
