FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 9, 2018
High Salary PG
Russell Westbrook, OKC at MIA ($12,500): Here’s the thing with late season plays. You have to identify guys who are going to play and guys who have something to play for. Teams make last minute decisions to rest players and some teams want to outright lose if it’ll help their draft or playoff positioning. With that out of the way, we know Westbrook is going to play and has something to play for. A win puts the Thunder in the playoffs. Westbrook will bring his usual compete level, put up bit numbers in all categories, and get you at least 50 fantasy points. Especially if Miami is looking to slide their way into the seventh seed. *****
Damian Lillard, POR at DEN ($9,700): The Trail Blazers have secured a playoff spot, but they still need victories to lock themselves into the third seed. Meanwhile, the Nuggets need every win they can get in order to jump into eighth. This is a big game where top guys should play their usual 30-35 minutes. Lillard played 35 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday, coming in with 37.1 fantasy points. The matchup is much better on Monday. Expect him to give you at least 45 fantasy points. ****
Eric Bledsoe, MIL vs ORL ($8,600): There are two minds with the Bucks right now. Do they win and improve their playoff positioning or do they lose and hope to remain in seventh so they can get the banged up Celtics in the first round? My guess is that they try to win because the Wizards will be trying to win and the Bucks don’t want to fall to eighth. With this matchup, the Bucks should have no issue winning and putting up big offensive numbers. And if Giannis Antetokounmpo is out once again, Bledsoe and the other Bucks starters will benefit like they did against the Knicks. If you think the Bucks are more likely to lose, grab Jamal Murray, who is going to play hard for nearly 40 minutes. ****
