5 reasons the Toronto Raptors can win the NBA Championship

Following two tough exits in the postseason, the Raptors finally seem like they’re primed to bring the NBA championship to Toronto.

Following the Toronto Raptors second-round exit from the 2017 NBA playoffs, Toronto President Masai Ujiri said that the team needed what he called a “culture reset.”

"“We’ve tried what we’ve done so many times and it hasn’t worked. We have to go a different direction, do something different. I don’t know now what it is.”"

Heading into the 2017-18 season, many still had no idea what Masai meant by his culture reset comments as there was no coaching change and no major changes to the core of the team. The season began and on paper, these were your same Raptors.

Nearly a full regular season later and these Raptors have locked up home-court advantage through the Eastern Conference playoffs and look like they have a realistic shot at finally getting over the proverbial hump in Northeast Ohio.

LeBron James and the Cavaliers have ousted this Raptors team in each of the past two seasons, but we have five reasons that Toronto won’t just move past the Cavs, but win the whole thing.
