Dez Bryant was released by the Dallas Cowboys and went straight to Twitter with plenty to say.

When the Dallas Cowboys cut Dez Bryant on Friday, it wasn’t a clean break. From a financial standpoint, it was clean, but with Dez you always run the risk of getting dirty.

That’s what happened when the former Cowboys receiver took to social media to vent. We saw all sides of the Dez Bryant we’ve come to know, love, and hate over the years. We don’t know what the future holds, but the present is oh so sweet with Dez playing to the crowd like only he knows how best to do.

Let’s run down how Dez is already living his best post-Cowboys life:

The Initial IDGAF Swagger Out The Door

Textbook Dez. He’s never been one to shy away from telling us how he really feels and his first reaction to the news becoming official shows us vintage Dez hasn’t left us yet.

A Heartfelt Goodbye to Cowboys Nation

This is important because it’s a side of Dez that often gets overshadowed. For all the ups and downs, he truly loved Cowboys fans and they loved him right back. No relationship is perfect, but most fans never wanted to see Dez go and the outpouring of support he’s received since being cut is a reminder of that.

But Also, He Knows People Love Drama

After his farewell wave to Cowboys fans, he showed his teeth to the front office that had just cut him loose. There’s so much speculation with this tweet, so let’s have it breathe on its own:

Imagine a world where he’s on the same team as Odell Beckham Jr., with Eli Manning gunning his way to one more title run. There’s no better middle finger to flash at Jerry Jones than one with a Giants Super Bowl ring on it.

Dez played it both ways, implying that he either knew his release was coming or knows there are people in the building that pushed him out.

Being Cut Has Lit A Fire Under Him

That tweet, coupled with the one about potentially playing the Cowboys twice a year, should be something we take serious notice of. Athletes are nothing if not the pettiest human beings alive, in part because they’re so ultra competitive.

Bryant’s best years are behind him, but if his middle-fingers-in-the-air exit from Dallas is any indication, we’re still in store to see his most savage.
