The best value picks for MLS fantasy in Week 7.

Week 7 is upon us in MLS, and the big games just keep on coming. NYCFC will play their second game in four days when they travel to Atlanta in the standout game of the weekend, while DC United host the Columbus Crew looking to pick up their first win of the season. These are the top five value picks for MLS fantasy soccer in Week 7.

Teal Bunbury, New England Revolution, $6.2 Million

Teal Bunbury has scored in his last two games for New England and was a key player in the Revolution’s 4-0 win over Montreal in Week 6. Bunbury earned fantasy owners 11 points last week playing as a center forward.

New England face an FC Dallas side who have been out of form so far this season, drawing three of their four games this year. Dallas will be playing their first away fixture of the year against Revolution, who are unbeaten in their last four games and managed to put four goals past the Impact in their last home game.

Latif Blessing, LAFC, $6.4 Million

Latif Blessing and LAFC will be hoping to return to winning ways after a difficult couple of weeks. They head into Week 7 against Vancouver Whitecaps on the back of two defeats, against the LA Galaxy and Atlanta.

Blessing started the season strong, earning fantasy owners 11 points from his first two games. Blessing and LAFC face the Whitecaps this weekend, and will be encouraged by the fact Vancouver have conceded seven goals in their last three games and head into this game off the back of a 2-1 defeat against Real Salt Lake in Week 6.

Cristian Martinez, Columbus Crew, $5.6 Million

The Crew travel to the capital to face DC United in Week 7. DC still haven’t managed to win a game this season and Columbus will hoping that run continues. Cristian Martinez has impressed in his breakout year in MLS. A bit-part player last season, the midfielder has really stepped up for the Crew his year.

Martinez picked up 10 points in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, when he recorded two assists in a 3-1 win for Columbus. If the win against DC in March wasn’t enough to give the Crew encouragement, then the fact United have given up six goals in their last three games should.

Diego Campos, Chicago Fire, $4.1 Million

Diego Campos’s game time has dramatically increased over the last two weeks. The injury to Luis Solignac has meant Campos has had to step up for Chicago. Campos started the last game against Columbus and it was the midfielder’s first start of the season. He’s expected to make the starting XI again in Week 7.

Chicago host the LA Galaxy at the weekend and will be hoping to build on an impressive victory against in-form Columbus. The Fire’s confidence will be boosted by the Galaxy’s leaky defense. They’ve conceded five goals in their last two games, while Chicago have found the back of the net in every game this year.

Christian Ramirez, Minnesota United, $7 Million

Christian Ramirez has struggled so far this season. The forward is still looking for his first goal of the year. Ramirez netted 14 times for Minnesota last year, proving he’s more than capable at this level. Minnesota come into this weekend in poor form, having lost their last two games, against the New York Red Bulls and Atlanta.

However, United have an easier matchup on paper when they travel to Portland in Week 7. The Timbers have conceded five goals in their last two games and in their last match, the Timbers gave up 24 shots on their goal in a 3-2 loss. If Portland are as generous as last week, Ramirez will fancy his chances of getting his first goal of the season this weekend.
