Manchester United and West Brom are at opposite ends of the Premier League table ahead of their game Sunday. United are second with 71 points. The Baggies are dead last and would need a miracle to stay up. West Brom are 10 points behind the safety zone with only five games remaining.
Manchester United came from behind to beat their city rivals 3-2 last weekend, delaying Manchester City’s championship celebration. Paul Pogba had one of his best games of the year, scoring twice. The French midfielder has scored five goals this season and added nine assists. Alexis Sanchez had one of his better games since joining United. The Chilean midfielder assisted on two of United’s goals, giving him three assists and a goal in his last two games.
West Brom named Darren Moore manager prior to their game last weekend against Swansea. While the Baggies drew 1-1 with the Swans, West Brom are at the point in the season, where draws do not help them. If the Baggies have any hope of surviving, they likely need to win all five of their remaining games. Moore’s side will have to start scoring if they are going to pick up points. The Baggies are last in the Premier League with 26 goals this season. Jay Rodriguez and Jose Salomon Rondon share the club lead with six goals.
