The Blue Jays will have to postpone their Monday night game against the Royals due to snow in the Rogers Centre, which has a roof.

And as if having to cancel a home game due to weather when you play in a dome, the Blue Jays really put their feet in their mouth when they tweeted a smug status poking fun at all the postponed games on Monday.

Of course, the Blue Jays were roasted on Twitter shortly after the news broke that their roof was leaking snow and water onto their turf field. Tarps were placed in right field as well as near shortstop and the shallow infield.

Good on these dudes for risking their lives on the roof of the Rogers Center to try and fix the leak.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the Blue Jays and Royals have had to cancel a game due to issues with Rogers Centre. Back in 2001, the team had to cancel a home game when the retractable panels failed, which lead to a rip in the roof the stadium.

Toronto and Kansas City will have a doubleheader tomorrow to make up for Mother Nature imposing her will and forcing the Blue Jays to deal with some bad karma quickly after their Twitter accounts lame troll backfired.

However, if ice is already busting holes in the roof of the Rogers Centre, what are they going to do when Vlad Guerrero Jr. gets called up? Better reinforce those panels soon, Toronto!
