The eight team Euro League playoffs head to the second game! The four best of five game series winners will meet in the Final Four. Here with go with the first Game 2’s!
We have a lot less players to choose from with only four teams in action at a time. The value picks are going to be all the more important.
The cash line in the EuroLeague is usually right around 150 DraftKings points. That means we are looking for 3x value instead of the 5-6x we chase in the NBA. It could be even less with less options on the table. 152 didn’t even hit the money yesterday!

Guards:
Alexey Shved came up big in the first game against CSKA. Shved put up 40.75 DraftKings points, something he couldn’t do against them in the regular season. A lot of that had to do with Nando de Colo leaving the game with an injury. Alexey was arguably the best EuroLeague player this year, so anytime you want to use him in the playoffs, I’m not opposed to it. Just keep in mind that Nick Calathes was even better against Real Madrid for $500 less.
Mike James put up just 0.25 less DraftKings points than Shved in their respective Game 1’s, but costs $4,300 less. Sergio Rodriguez also came up big when de Colo went out, so I would expect Sergio to be the one who picks up most of the scoring slack with de Colo out for the rest of the playoffs. Of course, Cory Higgins will provide very good value for $800 less than Sergio.
Leo Westermann continues to be a solid value pick for CSKA. He should be able to pick up a few more minutes with de Colo out, but his upside remains capped. I would prefer to go with Chasson Randle due to all of the injuries for Real Madrid. Facundo Campazzo will be out the rest of the post season, and Sergio Llull will not play in this game either.
Forwards:
I’m not willing to pay the premium for Gustavo Ayon while he is still coming off the bench. Ayon has been solid, but until he starts playing more than 25 minutes, he isn’t worth the premium. You can get better production out of Will Clyburn and save $400.
Trey Thompkins continues to be a force in the middle for Real Madrid despite losing minutes to Ayon. I don’t see how Real Madrid can keep taking the minutes from him and not any of the others. Walter Tavares and Anthony Randolph aren’t playing up to the level of Thompkins, so I still see Thompkins as the one to play in the Real Madrid frontcourt.
Othello Hunter had a big game in Game 1, racking up 32.5 DraftKings points. It’s hard to rely on the inconsistency of Hunter, but this game has me thinking that he can have a good series. He is worth a GPP look for $6,600.
If Tyler Honeycutt is out again, I like the value of Thomas Robinson. The former Kansas star has filled in nicely for Honeycutt, and has even outplayed the likes of Michael Thomas and Anthony Gill. If Honeycutt sits, T-Rob is my favorite value forward.
Egor Vialtsev came out of nowhere to put up 29.75 DraftKings points in Game 1. Despite Vialtsev playing big minutes for most of the year, he scored eight points more than his previous season high. There is potential here.
