Sample Lineup

P – Zach Grienke

C/1B – Paul Goldschmidt

2B – Brock Holt

3B – Ryan Flaherty

SS – Nick Ahmed

OF – Justin Upton, A.J. Pollock, Domingo Santana

Utility – Josh Bell

The choice between Grienke and Taillon remains difficult. The Phillies offense has plenty of potential every single night and are playing in a good park. However, Taillon has been borderline untouchable so far this season. The strikeout ceiling might not be quite as high as we’d like but we don’t have to break the bank to get him. Grienke likely gets the easier matchup since the Giants can’t hit but he’s just been alright so far. We’ll see how things go during the day today.

For the offensive pieces, I do like the Diamondbacks three man stack. Shortstop is pretty dicey so we’ll just stick with Ahmed to get another piece of the Diamondbacks offense. Goldy and Pollock are basically locked in. Holt is a bit of a punt option and hopefully the Red Sox lineup can keep rolling right along. Flaherty might be in a quietly good spot depending on which version of Matt Harvey shows up. Perez is too easy at that price against a lefty, Upton also smashes lefties and then we do get to play Bell and Goldy together. Since it’s a smaller slate, some parts of this lineup really shouldn’t change too much.
