The Jacksonville Jaguars have had some of the worst uniforms in recent years, but they took on a makeover and knocked it out of the park.

After years of having an ugly two-tone helmet and a uniform that looks more suited for Pop Warner than the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars have finally stepped up. Following a trip to the AFC Championship Game, the Jaguars have taken on a new, revamped look and the result is one of the nicest, cleanest uniforms in the game.

Jacksonville is going back to the helmet that was the original look back in 1995. It’s simple but gets the job done, and reminds us of a time when the Jaguars were one of the best franchises in the sport with Mark Brunell, Keenan McCardell, Jimmy Smith and Tom Coughlin.

As for the uniforms themselves, there’s no nonsense going on. So many of the new jerseys are far too busy with piping and extra bells and whistles. Despite showing off five separate looks at the same time, Jacksonville doesn’t have a bad one in the bunch.

Jacksonville fans have plenty to look forward to in 2018, between the new uniforms and the players in them. The Jaguars are trying to defend their first AFC South crown in more than a decade and then go one step further in the postseason by reaching the first Super Bowl in franchise history.

We don’t know who Jacksonville will open the season against come September yet, although that information is scheduled to come out on Thursday night, broadcast by both the NFL Network and ESPN.
