The New York Giants schedule leaks ahead of tonight’s official release, but will the Giants fair better in 2018?

While the New York Giants wonder if they’ll land free agent Dez Bryant, the NFL will be releasing the schedule tonight on the NFL Network and ESPN.

But given this is the age of the internet, leaks are unavoidable, and that holds true for schedules.

The New York Giants 2018 schedule has been leaked on Twitter for those who wish to know who and when they’re playing come September.

If the leaked schedule is to be true, then the Giants will open up to a horrendous slate of games in the first half of the season.

Eli Manning and Co. will open up at MetLife Stadium against the Jacksonville Jaguars September 9, followed by two road games at Dallas and at Houston.

And it doesn’t get easier from there.

They close out the month of September against the Saints, before going out on the road against Carolina in October. Then a matchup with the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles and another tough road game at Atlanta.

If fans of Big Blue thought last season couldn’t get any worse, then surely 2018 is doing them no favors, either.

Quarterback match-ups against Blake Bortles, Dak Prescott, Deshaun Watson, Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan should scream nightmares for a team that finished near the bottom of every statistical category a season ago.

A late bye week benefits them in Week 9, but then a Sunday Night Game versus the renewed San Francisco 49ers could keep them out of contention late in the season. Throw in the Bucs and Bears, in back-half, and there aren’t too many intriguing games for New York. The Giants end their season with a home date with Dallas.

By the look of this schedule, the Giants are only good for four prime time slots in 2018. Which isn’t surprising given the roster talent that has been injured a lot lately.

But the GIants do get back Odell Beckham Jr., so there’s that.
