Mississippi State will play its 2018 spring game on Saturday, April 21. A look at how to watch it online.

April continues to fill up with college football spring games. These happen months in advance of the 2018 season but come in handy as preparation for it. Head coaches receive the chance to evaluate their freshman players, position battles and other parts of the team that may play a part in how far the squad goes in the fall. One of these programs will be Mississippi State, who will play its spring game on Saturday, April 21, at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Mississippi State, MS

Do not expect quarterback Nick Fitzgerald to play on Saturday night. After suffering a broken ankle in the 2017 season, it makes little sense for him to return in a meaningless game. However, it is a chance for Keyaton Thompson to rise to the occasion and show what he can do. He threw for 127 yards and rushed for 147 in a bowl win over Louisville.

More importantly, this will be the first look at new head coach Joe Moorhead, who took over for the departing Dan Mullen (now at Florida). How will Moorhead’s team perform in its first showing?
