The Milwaukee Bucks have an opportunity to even up their first-round series against the Boston Celtics when the teams play Game 4 on Sunday.

After losing the first two games of the series on the road, the Milwaukee Bucks came home and destroyed the Boston Celtics 116-92 in Game 3 on Friday night. The Bucks will try to ride that momentum into Game 4 as they look to tie up the series at two games apiece.

Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been excellent thus far in the postseason. Middleton is averaging 26.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 62.7 percent. The Greek Freak is at 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists per game with an identical 62.7 field goal percentage.

Game 3 finally saw those two get significant help. Eric Bledsoe showed up and actually outplayed Terry Rozier after an ugly first two games, with Bledsoe going for 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Rozier managed just nine points and turned the ball over five times. Rozier didn’t commit a single turnover in the first two games.

The Bucks also got a huge lift from their bench. Jabari Parker scored 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting in Game 3 after only managing two points combined in Games 1 and 2. With John Henson out due to a back injury, Thon Maker took advantage of his increased role and made a huge impact on both ends. Maker blocked five shots and hit three 3-pointers en route to 14 points.

While Milwaukee played off the energy of the home crowd, Boston was extremely sluggish. The Celtics’ offense suffered through a disastrous 12-point first quarter and wasn’t able to find any kind of rhythm until it was too late.

The Bucks have the talent to steal this series given the Celtics are missing a host of key players. However, Milwaukee needs to remain focused and maintain the Game 3 energy moving forward. Talent alone isn’t going win this series against this well-coached Celtics team. Game 4 should be a doozy.
