Is Avengers: Infinity War in 3D? Marvel fans headed out to the latest Avengers movie this weekend may be asking if the film is being shown in the 3D format, and if so, how to get Avengers: Infinity War 3D tickets.

Get ready to try on those cool glasses, because yes, you will be able to watch the movie in 3D at select theaters. It’s kind of a no-brainer, considering the scope of the new Avengers adventure and all of the special effects that are being poured into the film.

This movie is pretty much asking for it, because we want to see Thor’s hammer axe flying, Hulk smashing things into tiny pieces of debris and Thanos charging toward us leaving destruction in his wake. Okay, maybe we don’t want to see that last one so much, but you get the point. This is one of those big-screen blockbusters that upscale formats like 3D and IMAX were made for, and you will definitely get some bang for your extra buck.

Which is a perfect segue into to the second question, that is actually a bit more complicated — how do you get Avengers: Infinity War 3D tickets? Unlike the IMAX showings, there isn’t a specific site that will provide you the available theaters and showtimes in your area. The best way to find out if there are 3D showtimes, and to get your tickets ahead of the massive theater line, is to hit up the Fandango website or app.

Be aware that not every movie theater may offer showtimes, and that a lot of showtimes can be sold out, considering the high demand for tickets. But good luck, because this is definitely a movie worth catching in 3D!
