The Nashville Predators host the Winnipeg Jets in Game 5 of their second-round series. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

The Winnipeg Jets were the best team at home in the NHL this season. However, the Nashville Predators were able to steal home ice from the Jets, winning 2-1 in Game 4. The series returns to Nashville for Game 5, with the series tied at 2-2.

After struggling to start the playoffs, Pekka Rinne had one of his best games. The Finnish goalie stopped 32 of 33 shots to help Nashville even the series. Peter Laviolette needs to take advantage of the last change that home team receives. Laviolette needs to match his top two defense pairing up against Winnipeg’s top two lines as much as possible. Kyle Turris needs to be better for Nashville to win the series. Turris performed in the playoffs last year with Ottawa but has struggled this season. The Predators’ center has three points and only 10 shots in Nashville’s 10 playoff games.

Connor Hellebuyck played well in Game 4 but the Jets couldn’t beat Rinne. Hellebuyck needs to keep playing like a Vezina finalist if Winnipeg is going to advance to the conference final. The Jets top four forwards, Patrik Laine, Mark Scheifele, Paul Stastny and Blake Wheeler have all delivered against Nashville. The quad has combined for 23 points in the first four games of the series. However, Nikolaj Ehlers and Kyle Connor have been virtually invisible. The two wingers combined for 60 goals in the regular season but haven’t scored in the playoffs. Winnipeg needs both players to start scoring to give them more scoring options outside.
