On the verge of falling into an insurmountable 3-0 deficit in the series, New Orleans absolutely blitzed the Warriors in Game 3, restoring belief that the Pelicans might have any hope of pushing Golden State. Anthony Davis was an absolute monster on both ends of the floor in the 119-100 win, while New Orleans got big contributions from its role players and a vintage game (for better and for worse) from Rajon Rondo, who dished 21 assists. Jrue Holiday turned in an impressive all-around performance.

The Warriors struggled from the field in Game 3, in part due to the Pelicans’ defensive pressure, which clearly made Golden State uncomfortable. Still, the Warriors probably have the two best players in the series in Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, and their dominance in Games 1 and 2 serve as ominous reminders of what happens when this team locks in. Golden State has home court advantage, and even if New Orleans evens the series on Sunday, defeating these Warriors four times in seven games remains the toughest task in basketball.
