Sample Lineup with Corey Kluber

P – Corey Kluber

C/1B – Tucker Barnhart

2B – Ian Kinsler

3B – Anthony Rendon

SS – Scott Kingery

OF – Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Altherr, Travis Jankowski

Utility – Adam Duvall

In all honesty, using Kluber tonight makes life a little difficult. I’m totally happy using Tucker Barnhart at his price point because he draws a favorable matchup and he’s just destroying lefties to this point even in a small sample size. Kinsler at just $3,300 in Coors just seems way too cheap, even if Jon Gray is a good pitcher. Rendon is a lock against lefties especially when he’s sitting under $3,500. Kingery is just a hope and a prayer against a lefty and I hope Jankowski can keep the hot bat going after his big game last night. This lineup gets topped off with just a little more exposure to the Reds offense in Adam Duvall. I just don’t feel like I have enough bats in this lineup and we’ll see how the day develops.

Sample Lineup without Kluber

P – Lance McCullers

C/1B – Tucker Barnhart

2B – Ian Kinsler

3B – Eugenio Suarez

SS – Trevor Story

OF – Ian Happ, Travis Jankowski, Adam Duvall

Utility – Nolan Arenado

This lineup feels a little better because there’s more exposure to Coors on top of our Reds exposure. The price tag for Trevor Story is just a joke facing a lefty at home. Hopefully Ian Happ can keep his hot bat going after hitting two home runs on Monday night. Nolan Arenado is super attractive even at a high price because Heaney isn’t very good against anyone, let alone righties.

Crazy GPP Lineup

P – Luis Castillo

C/1B – Chris Iannetta

2B – Cesar Hernandez

3B – Anthony Rendon

SS – Trevor Story

OF – Aaron Altherr, Charlie Blackmon, Rhys Hoskins

Utility – Eugenio Suarez

If you’re a believer in Castillo and his talent, you will likely not see him at a lower price this season as was noted earlier. You can now afford basically any bat you want. This is without a doubt a GPP play and not a cash play because Castillo especially could blow up. There’s plenty of upside with this lineup.
