The Nashville Predators host the Winnipeg Jets in Game 7 of their second-round series. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

On Monday, the Nashville Predators defeated the Winnipeg Jets by a final score of 4-0 in Game 6 of their second-round series. Strong performances from Filip Forsberg, Viktor Arvidsson and Pekka Rinne were the central avenues through which the Predators snatched victory from the jaws of defeat so as to set up an epic finale for the ages.

Thursday night’s game promises to be one of the most exciting matchups of the 2017-18 campaign.

The talk circuit of the hockey world has been centered around Nashville’s goaltending over the course of the postseason — as such, look for much of the burden of pressure to rest on Rinne’s shoulders. The Predators will go as far as their two-way game takes them, so expect Peter Laviolette to nail his matchups. If strong offense is coupled with a lights-out performance from Rinne, Nashville may very well end up celebrating a massive victory on home ice.

To the dismay of many a Jets fan — along with lovers of Canadian hockey more generally — Winnipeg was unable to close out the series at Bell MTS Place. As a result, they’ll have to usher forth one of their best performances of the year on Thursday. The task at hand will not be easy, but the Jets’ stars are more than capable of devastating opponents. Look for Connor Hellebuyck, Dustin Byfuglien, Patrik Laine, Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler to the lead the team in a do-or-die matchup.

Who knows? One of them may just end up a hero.
