Sample Lineup with an Ace

P- Chris Sale

C/1B – Cody Bellinger

2B – Sean Rodriguez

3B – Rafael Devers

SS – Jedd Gyorko

OF – Ender Inciarte, Tommy Pham, Aaron Altherr

Utility – Jason Kipnis

Paying up for Sale does limit the options for the offense a little bit. We put together two cheap outfielders to pair with Pham and Rodriguez is just the perfect punt play to make some things work out. Bellinger is super cheap given his matchup and he could get to Harvey twice tonight. Devers is on the best side of the splits and at a really good price. Gyorko and Kipnis finish things off and this lineup looks pretty solid tonight.

Obviously, we can build a much more powerful offense on paper. There’s some really bad pitchers on the mound tonight and it’s hard to get a piece of everyone. It’s always fun to have Judge and Harper in the same lineup and then you add in a player like Ohtani and there’s potential for fireworks with this lineup. We have to really pay attention to see how things evolve through the day today before we make some final decisions.
