The Supreme Court cleared the way for legalized sports gambling today and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr wasted no time getting some jokes off.

Some very big news in the world of sports was announced on Monday, and you’ve probably heard it by now.

The U.S. Supreme Court decided to do away with a federal law that required states to ban gambling on the outcome of sporting events. This means that millions of fans across the nation are going to be having a lot more fun with their sports watching. Or, at least they’re going to be doing it legally now.

The timing for all of this is pretty convenient as well. The conference finals for both the NBA and NHL have recently gotten underway, and we’re just a week or two away from the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Final, not to mention there are dozens of Major League Baseball games happening every day. And in a few more months, Sundays will be jam-packed with NFL action once again. It’s safe to say there are plenty of opportunities for sports gambling now and in the near future.

As the Golden State Warriors get set to tip off the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets, head coach Steve Kerr is already having a good time with it.

Kerr must be in a fairly good mood if he’s making jokes just before his Warriors are about to take on James Harden’s Rockets with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line. And I can’t say I blame him. As good as Houston has been this season, it’s hard to imagine them beating Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green in a best-of-seven series.
