The best DraftKings fantasy golf picks and lineup options for the AT&T Byron Nelson 2018, which tees off on Thursday, May 17.

Looking back at last weekend on the PGA Tour, THE PLAYERS Championship was somewhat uneventful if you’re one of those people looking for drama. However, DraftKings fantasy golf players had the chance to really take advantage as Webb Simpson, a player priced below $7,500 last week, was able to come up with a dominant victory in the unofficial fifth major.

Now the season moves on to the 2018 AT&T Byron Nelson and, as you might expect, the field isn’t nearly as loaded with stars as THE PLAYERS was. There are some big names and high-quality players throughout the field, but the overall quality certainly takes a dip. That means that DraftKings fantasy golf players will have to take some risks and really make sure they’re solid in their picks.

When you have a field like this, you have to look for two things — consistency from the high-dollar players and high-upside from the value plays. In regards to the latter, you often look for consistency. But because of how the field is constructed this week at the AT&T Byron Nelson, that’s not really a possibility. These are all players who are priced low because they have been, well, inconsistent.

As always, we’ll go through all of the price tiers and look at the best options (or only options in some cases) at that level. Then we will look at several different lineup combinations that could make some sense for you to play using different strategies. Finally, I’ll offer my ideal lineup for DraftKings fantasy golf this week.

Sound good? Let’s get started with the top-dollar players this week, of which there are only three.
