DraftKings Picks and Lineups

This is a weak field, as I’ve said several times before throughout looking at the picks. However, as we go into these lineups, that means the “premium” players might have a bit more value than others would. You’ll see that reflected throughout these lineups, surely. And with that, we start our DraftKings fantasy golf lineups with the Stars and Scrubs

Stars and Scrubs

Matt Kuchar ($10,700)
Billy Horschel ($9,700)
Charles Howell ($8,700)
Corey Conners ($7,200)
Andrew Putnam ($6,900)
Denny McCarthy ($6,700)

As is the case when it comes to the Stars and Scrubs type of lineup, there is always risk. However, that is more the case when the field looks like this. You have to be confident in the consistency of the three stars, but Conners, Putnam and McCarthy all have a lot of variance. But you want their upside, which they have plenty of.

Mid-Tier Loadup

Marc Leishman ($9,100)
Charles Howell ($8,700)
Rory Sabbatini ($8,600)
Grayson Murray ($8,200)
Martin Laird ($7,900)
Johnson Wagner ($7,500)

Once again we come back to the complexion of this field at the AT&T Byron Nelson in that it causes more variance in the mid-tier players than you would normally like to see. However, there is both consistency and upside throughout most of this lineup. Wagner could well be the key to making this come through, but I stand by his selection.

My Ideal DraftKings Fantasy Golf Lineup

Billy Horschel ($9,700)
Branden Grace ($9,400)
Charles Howell ($8,700)
Rory Sabbatini ($8,600)
Andrew Putnam ($6,900)
Denny McCarthy ($6,700)

This is somewhat a combination of the two lineups listed above. We have upper mid-tier players and two value players to make it happen. Yes, there is plenty of variance when it comes to a lineup like this, but I believe that you have to when the field looks as it does this week.
