Even Draymond Green’s mother notices that the magic in the Warriors lineup isn’t there for Game 2.

Whether it’s boredom or something else, the Warriors “Hampton 5” unit just doesn’t seem like it’s really working in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Rockets.

Even Draymond Green’s mom has taken notice.

For those who don’t have the pleasure of following Green’s mother on Twitter, her outspokenness has rubbed off on her son. So, when she noticed her favorite team just wasn’t engaged in trying to head back home with a 2-0 series lead, she didn’t mince words.

Behold, the best tweet you’ll probably see on NBA Twitter tonight:

See? We told you.

You know what else? She’s right on the money.

The Warriors don’t need this game. They’ve already achieved their ultimate goal of stealing the homecourt advantage away from the top-seeded Rockets in Game 1. Golden State’s season has been defined by apathy and boredom at times and everyone besides Kevin Durant has seemed pretty disengaged. They didn’t chase after the homecourt advantage. They didn’t chase after any awards. This team slumbered through the 2017-18 season with all the excitement of a kid visiting Ottawa for the first time.

Granted, Golden State has turned it on for the playoffs, but you just get the feeling that this is a team that, once it has achieved it’s mini-goal, nothing else matters. Game 2 means everything to Houston. It means nothing to the Rockets. That’s what Mama Green was getting at.

So, for Warrior fans, watching Mama Green tweet her thoughts on Game 2 may very well be more of a highlight than the game itself. Golden State, and it’s famous “Hampton 5” unit, just don’t look all that interested in Game 2; and if the Warriors didn’t have the epic “on-off” switch that they do, we would be concerned.

Thanks for the laughs, Mama Green.
