The finalists for the NBA Awards have been released. The winners will be announced at the NBA’s Award Show on June 25.

The NBA Awards Show is coming up fast, and the league has been gracious enough to release the finalists for the most coveted honors of the 2017-18 NBA season.

Most of the finalists won’t surprise anyone. Let’s start with the KIA Rookie of the Year Award, where Donavan Mitchell, Ben Simmons, and Jayson Tatum will duke it out for the right to be the top rookie of the season.

Next up is the KIA Most Improved Player Award. Victor Oladipo had a breakout year for the Indiana Pacers and has established himself as a top-20 player. Clint Capela is easily one of the top big men in the league, and Spencer Dinwiddie was the lone bright spot in an otherwise dark year for the Nets.

For Sixth Man of the Year, we have Eric Gordon, Mr. Instant Offense for the Houston Rockets, Lou Williams, who became a star for the L.A. Clippers, or, how about Fred Van Vleet, who rose up to lead the Raptors second-unit to one of the league’s best.

Coach of the Year could be depressing for Raptors fans as Dwane Casey could very well win the award while being unemployed. He was fired by Toronto earlier this week. Quin Snyder and Brad Stevens are also up for the award.

Which player was dominated on the defensive end this season? Well, for Defensive Player of the Year, we have Rudy Gobert, Joel Embid, and Anthony Davis up for the award.

Davis is also being considered for the league’s highest honor, Most Valuable Player, and he’ll be joined by James Harden and the ageless LeBron James.

All of these players are well deserving of their nomination, and tell us who you think the winners should be. Don’t miss the NBA Awards, broadcast live from L.A. on June 25 on TNT.
