The NBA Draft Combine gave teams a chance to learn a lot about quite a few prospects. These five players really elevated their stock at the event.

NBA teams are fully engrossed in the process of learning everything they can about every draft prospect on their respective boards. The ability to conduct athletic testing at the NBA Draft Combine provided many teams with their first real opportunity to interact with many prospects.

The five-on-five portion of the event was instructive for some teams, but most top prospects only participated in the measurement portion of the event. Even so, there’s plenty of data out there about a number of players that will cause their stock to fluctuate over the coming days.

Some prospects lost ground today, but there were significant winners in the event as well. These five players, in particular, raised their stock with excellent testing results.

5. Shake Milton

The SMU guard entered the event with plenty of fans and left with a few more. He registered the longest wingspan by a point guard in the history of the event. That should go a long way towards quelling concerns about the lack of his elite athleticism.

When you watch Milton’s tape it’s easy to see he has the feel required to run a team. He also excels as a catch-and-shoot player. That means Milton will have the ability to play both on and off the ball at the next level. That versatility should boost his draft stock.

Workouts will still be key for Milton as the process goes on, but his measurements should help solidify him as a first round consideration for teams looking for help in the back court. He probably doesn’t have the juice to break into the lottery, but anywhere in the first round would be a good landing spot for 6-foot-6 guard.
