Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, May 19. Here are all the highlights from the match.

Antonio Conte broke his cup final duck on Saturday, guiding Chelsea to a 1-0 win against Manchester United in the FA Cup final in what might very well prove to be his final match as Blues manager.

The first half was short on clear-cut chances, but Chelsea were comfortably the better side, and Eden Hazard was the standout player. The Belgian created the first opportunity of the match, beating Phil Jones one-on-one before drilling at David de Gea from a tight angle.

United dominated possession, but their attack stagnated in the final third, where Alexis Sanchez and, in particular, Marcus Rashford were poor in possession, giving the ball away needlessly or overrun by Chelsea’s numbers at the back.

The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute, Hazard once again exploiting some poor play by Jones. The Belgian controlled Cesc Fabregas’ pass with a beautiful touch, before accelerating past Jones, who brought him down in the penalty area. Hazard passed in easily from the spot.

United improved after the break, forcing Chelsea onto the back foot and beginning to test Thibaut Courtois with some regularity. Rashford drew good saves from Courtois with two powerful efforts early on, while Sanchez had a goal disallowed for offside on the hour mark.

Jose Mourinho turned to his trump card on 70 minutes, bringing Romelu Lukaku, who had been dealing with an injury, and Anthony Martial off the bench. United remained in control, but the decision didn’t have the desired effect, as Chelsea saw out the game.
