FanDuel Lineup and Picks for Saturday, May 19
Brewers at Twins
Brewers Probable Starter – Freddy Peralta, RHP
*All stats from one start* 0.00 ERA, 0.53 WHIP and 61.9 strikeout rate
Vs LHH – .111 average, .157 wOBA, 0.0 fly ball rate and 0.0 hard contact rate
Vs RHH – .000 average, .063 wOBA, 50.0 fly ball rate and 0.0 hard contact rate
Even though Peralta walked into Coors Field and dropped a 62 spot in Coors Field, I think it’s best to exercise caution here. he could very well have another major start and he’s my favorite GPP option as of now. He could really slice and dice the Twins lineup. Just be aware we really have no idea what we’re going to get in this spot. I really don’t want any Twins hitters unless you desperately need them.
Twins Hitters to Target
Elite Options – None
Secondary Options – Brian Dozier, Eduardo Escobar, Max Kepler
Twins Probable Starter – Freddy Romero, RHP
0.54 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 29.0 strikeout rate
Vs LHH – .091 average, .132 wOBA, 33.3 fly ball rate and 25.0 hard contact rate
Vs RHH – .250 average, .348 wOBA, 20.0 fly ball rate and 42.3 hard contact rate
Romero had his “worst”start of his young career last time out because he faced the Angels. This is a halfway decent sporty for him because the Brewers strikeout a ton. I think you either play one of the two pitchers or really just leave this game out out of the mix. Both of these pitchers have a very limited track record to try and figure out where to pick on. They also have looked excellent in the big league experience. Both are priced very cheaply tonight, priced under $7,000. You’re playing one for the upside and I would side with Romero if I was picking one.
Brewers Hitters to Target
Elite Options – Lorenzo Cain, Christian Yelich
Secondary Options – Travis Shaw
Home Run Pick – Brian Dozier
Rangers at White Sox
Rangers Probable Starter – TBA
As of this writing, the Rangers have not confirmed their stating pitcher. Stay tuned to my Twitter account and I’ll give a quick breakdown one we know who’s pitching and where to head. If it’s a lefty, Jose Abreu and Tim Anderson are the main targets. if a righty starts, it’s Yoan Moncada all the way.
White Sox Hitters to Target
Elite Options -TBA
Secondary Options – TBA
White Sox Probable Starter – Lucas Giolito, RHP
6.91 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 12.4 strikeout rate
Vs LHH – .257 average, .403 wOBA, 44.1 fly ball rate and 33.9 hard contact rate
Vs RHH – .224 average, .314 wOBA, 40.3 fly ball rate and 27.8 hard contact rate
Man, Giolito has been so bad this season. The Rangers hung 12 runs on the White Sox last night and it’s at least possible that happens again tonight. He is worse against lefties and Texas can roll out a bunch of lefty bats. Nomar Mazara is a pretty good play but he’s starting to really creep up in price. $3,800 seems a little scary to pay and I’d rather take the chance with Joey Gallo and Shin-soo Choo if I’m choosing a route. The way Giolito has pitched, it’s hard to come up with a bad play.
