The best 30 players at the World Cup

20. Marco Reus, forward, Germany
Just when you thought Germany couldn’t get any better, Marco Reus is finally fit enough for the start of a major tournament. His presence makes the defending champions significantly stronger.
Reus at 100 percent is a phenomenally gifted attacker. He can strike from anywhere thanks to a combination of pace, timing and intelligence.
Few forwards can match Reus’ feel for where chances will present themselves. His acceleration is similar to international teammate Leroy Sane.
Unlike the Manchester City man, though, Reus has a superior instinct for switching positions and targeting vulnerable defenders. If they can keep Reus injury free, no small task, Die Mannschaft will be even more potent going forward than they were four years ago.
