Roseanne airs its season 10 finale “Knee Deep” tonight on ABC primetime starting at 8 p.m. ET with season 11 already waiting in the wings. You can catch the episode live from your laptop with ABC live stream.

Last week’s episode “Netflix & Pill” focused on Roseanne’s addiction to pain medication because of her knee injury. Since the Conners were unable to afford the surgery for Roseanne’s knee, she decided to numb the pain by swiping her neighbor’s medication. Dan found out when Roseanne was acting out of character after having a few drinks, at which time, she mentioned her secret bottles. After confronting Roseanne about it, Dan tells her to just get the surgery and they’ll work out the details later. That he’d rather have to dig deep to get money for it than have her OD one day.

Meanwhile, Darlene had to essentially give up on her dream of being a writer, or at the very least, put it on hold. Crystal was retiring from being a waitress at a casino, and said she would put the good word for Darlene if she wanted the job. Though Darlene initially turned the offer down, Dan talked to her about how she has a family now and needs the full coverage and benefits. Dan’s line that ultimately convinced Darlene was, “What are you gonna do when they have medical problems, write about it?”

In the sneak peek for tonight’s episode, Roseanne and Jackie have fun with some Halloween props much to the ire of Harris. Darlene will decide she needs to return to her true first passion in life, writing, after reflection. A major storm will arrive in Lanford giving Dan some much needed work to help pay for Roseanne’s knee.
