King James was exhausted after playing 48 minutes in Game 7, he took a much-deserved rest in the trophy presentation.

Watching LeBron James lay on the floor during the presentation of the Eastern Conference trophy was basically all of us.

We felt LeBron at that moment. This was probably the toughest route to the NBA Finals King James has had to travel during his remarkable run as the most dominant player in the league. The other routes to the Finals had been relatively easy, but this road was remarkably tough this season.

It started with his former running mate, Kyrie Irving, demanding a trade during the offseason. Then, during hr first-half of the season, his newly constructed team was on the verge of self-destructing. That’s when he phoned Dan Gilbert to tell him to press “The Button” and remake the team the trade deadline.

With that accomplished, LeBron had to guide his newly remade roster through growing pains. Though the team was still able to get the 4th seed in the East, few people outside of Cleveland thought that King James could get this team to the NBA promised land.

Boy, he proved us all wrong.

After a seven-game war against the upstart Indiana Pacers, King James personally dispatched the top-seeded Toronto Raptors in the second round, setting up a matchup that would require him to use all of his superpowers to conquer the scrappy Boston Celtics.

It would take seven games, but LeBron is the best player on the planet, and the best rises to the occasion when his team needs him most. His dominance of the 2018 NBA Playoffs is the stuff of legend, so, you can’t fault The King for laying down during the trophy presentation. he basically had to carry this team on his broad shoulders, which we can believe was draining.

Awaiting him in the NBA Finals is the Big Bad Wolves of Golden State and Houston, so he’s going to need all the rest he can get if he wants to carry the Cavs to the NBA mountaintop.
