30 best jerseys in college football
12. Oklahoma State (Orange)
You don’t have to look past head coach Mike Gundy to know the Oklahoma State Cowboys are all about modern fashion. Gundy is not only one of the longest-tenured head coaches in the nation, but also a fashion guru on the college football scene. The question is not whether or not the Cowboys are fashionable, but it’s what looks better; Oklahoma State orange uniforms or Mike Gundy’s mullet? Everybody loves a good mullet, but the Cowboys orange jerseys can go toe-to-toe with any uniform.
At the turn of the decade, the Cowboys unveiled their new uniforms that underwent an overhaul by Nike. This included updated jerseys, chrome helmets and new pants. Included in that were multiple alternate uniforms with alternate logos and helmets. The sharpest of them all being the orange home uniforms, often worn with white helmets and pants fitted with a Pistol Pete decal.
The orange uniforms look Oklahoma State through and through as it’s the only solid color used in the top. Unlike previously mentioned jerseys, there is no shoulder design on the Cowboys’ uniforms. Instead, a black and grey pattern underlines the uniform along the arm. The same black and grey pattern is used around the collar. At the focal point of the collar is another alternate Oklahoma State logo, a star and circle badge to compliment the white lettering and numbering. When it comes to unique patterns, nobody does it better than Oklahoma State and that’s one of the reasons they inch closer to the top of the list.
