Pats fan, 2018

Another Boston sports fan did something dumb? No way! Said no one ever. This fan had “LII” added to his list of Patriots Super Bowls just a week before the game happened, as he was probably one of the many Nick Foles non-believers (unlike yours truly, who had some coin on the Eagles).

Had he never seen Nick play? We’ll never know. You’re talking about a guy who has branded himself with a Tom Brady logo though, so let’s not rule out the fact that he is 100 percent blinded by all of the success his team has seen over the last two decades.

When asked about whether this was a jinx or not, the fan was pretty sensible (for someone with a Tom Brady arm tattoo):

"I just don’t understand why grown men and women actually believe that a fan getting a tattoo will have an impact on Bill Belichick and Tom Brady — the two GOATS. I don’t believe in any of that jinx or superstition stuff."

Okay, that makes sense. The only flaw in his logic, and I keep coming back to this, is that he clearly had not seen Nick Foles, the greatest quarterback of our generation not named Joe Flacco, in action! Thankfully for this guy, he has a back up plan:

“If they lose, they’ll win next year — so I’ll add on another ‘I,'” he said.

I hate that this is probably going to work out for him.
