30 college football head coaches cooler than your coolest uncle
It was a tumultuous season, to say the least for the Florida State Seminoles, who ended up losing out on its head coach that guided the program to a National Championship way back with Jameis Winston in 2013. Now, Florida State has an upstart head coach in Willie Taggart that is looking take to the Noles back into contention in the ACC.
The fast rise of Taggart is something that makes him one of the most intriguing coaches in the nation. Just a few years ago he was leading the way for the South Florida Bulls. Then, he worked his way in with the Oregon Ducks after Mark Helfrich was fired.
Now, Florida State is looking to get back up there with the Clemson Tigers with a successful head coach like Taggart at the helm. Immediately, Taggart tried to remedy the quarterback situation in Tallahassee, likely going with the to-be sophomore James Blackman as the starter Week 1.
However, we’ll see how Taggart is able to deal with the legal circumstances surrounding his other talented quarterback option in Deondre Francois. Both quarterbacks should see the field a decent amount, hopefully leading to some more success for Florida State in 2018
