Pittsburgh Steelers: Morgan Burnett vs. Terrell Edmunds

The Pittsburgh Steelers were upset by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Divisional Round last season, and will be looking to take the next step forward in 2018. They have most of their top weapons back this season, including their Killer B’s on offense, giving them one of the more explosive units in the game.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Steelers have made a concerted effort to get younger in recent years. In the 2017 NFL Draft, the team selected T.J. Watt from Wisconsin, and he played so well as a rookie that veteran legend James Harrison could not even get any playing time. He will anchor this defense for years to come.

During the 2018 NFL Draft, the Steelers once again spent their first round pick on the defense, adding an incredible safety to their roster. Terrell Edmunds was an absolute beast while patrolling the middle of the Virginia Tech secondary, and he is a guy who has enough talent to start right away at the NFL level.

The Steelers went out and brought in Morgan Burnett this offseason, and he is expected to be the starter at free safety. However, Edmunds is going to turn heads this summer with his athleticism, and the way he flies all over the field, so it is not out of the realm of possibility that he moves past Burnett on the depth chart.

The Steelers are going to be one of the best teams in the AFC again in 2018, and they could be the final team standing when it is all said and done. They have done a nice job reinventing the roster, especially on defense, in recent years, and this could be the year the defense catches up to the offense in terms of talent.
