Who should the Philadelphia 76ers select at No. 10 in the 2018 NBA draft to round out their young core?

After a 52-win season, the Philadelphia 76ers find themselves in a dream situation.

Not only will they have upward of $25 million in salary-cap space this summer, but they’ll also have the No. 10 pick in the 2018 NBA draft to help continue bolstering their young core. The Sixers received said pick from the Phoenix Suns (via the Los Angeles Lakers) in the three-team trade in which they sent then-reigning Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams to the Milwaukee Bucks back at the 2014 trade deadline.

Regardless of who they choose at No. 10, they can only hope his NBA career doesn’t flame out as quickly as MCW’s has.

The Boston Celtics exposed some glaring holes on Philadelphia’s roster during their second-round playoff series, most notably a lack of quality two-way wings and players who can create offense off the dribble. Getting 2017 No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz back in the fold after he missed most of his rookie season with a shoulder injury should help with the latter, but the Sixers figure to focus on guards and wings at No. 10 regardless.

Both JJ Redick and Marco Belinelli are set to become unrestricted free agents in July, which could leave Philadelphia woefully short on shooters. While a 3-and-D wing would be a dream fit with this selection, a wide range of players with consistent 3-point range should draw serious consideration either way.

Barring an unexpected draft-day slide for one of the top prospects on the board — namely Deandre Ayton, Luka Doncic, Jaren Jackson Jr., Marvin Bagley III, Mo Bamba, Trae Young and Michael Porter Jr. — the following five prospects should each be on Philly’s radar at No. 10 heading into draft night.
