It’s been three years since Glen “Big Baby” Davis was a member of an NBA team. Now, it appears as if his life has taken a serious turn for the worse, as he is possibly facing up to seven years in prison.

Davis is facing prison time result of an assault charge that came after Davis was arrested in West Hollywood back in April. The former NBA big man was involved in an altercation outside of a nightclub, where he allegedly threw a man to the ground and the victim “was hospitalized with several major injuries including facial fractures, a broken tooth and broken ribs.”

This isn’t Davis’ first run-in with the law in 2018 either. Back in February, he was arrested for drug possession and drug distribution after police discovered 126 grams of marijuana and $92,000 in cash in his hotel room in Maryland.

Now that Davis is most likely facing prison time, it goes to show that he has taken a quite a big fall from grace. Big Baby was once a promising young prospect in the NBA. He was drafted 35th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics, then was traded to the Boston Celtics along with Ray Allen in the first of Boston’s two blockbuster trades in the summer of ’07 – the second one bringing Kevin Garnett to Beantown.

Davis was then a member of the famous 2007-08 Celtics team that brought the city of Boston its first NBA championship in 22 years, beating the Lakers in six games in the NBA Finals. Davis and the Celtics returned to the Finals again in 2010, but were defeated by the Lakers in seven games.

Big Baby has since spent time with the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers before his career officially wrapped up in 2015. Three years and multiple arrests later, Big Baby’s once promising NBA career now seems like a distant memory.
