Joel Embiid is a social media savant and he really wasted absolutely no time in starting his recruitment of LeBron James.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were just swept by the Golden State Warriors, and have now lost three times in their last four Finals appearances. With the defeat, the focus turns to LeBron James because he’s in all likelihood going to be a free agent this summer.

With the best player on the face of the planet set to become a free agent, every team that has a chance to sign him is already preparing their sales pitch to get him to join their team. Sales pitches come in all shapes and sizes. The Philadelphia 76ers are currently dealing with the aftermath of the whole Bryan Colangelo situation, but that isn’t going to stop Joel Embiid.

Let’s be totally honest here, did we really think that Embiid wouldn’t be the first one to say something to James? The man is a social media savant, and will use his skills to the best of his abilities.

As mentioned before James can opt out of his contract and become a free agent this summer. The Philadelphia 76ers are considered one of the favorite destinations for him regardless of Embiid sending him tweets immediately after the Finals is over.

The 76ers are actually currently over the league salary cap at this moment, but for the best player in the league surely they can find a way to make it work financially. Now making it work on the court would be a totally different story. If they did make it work though it would make the Sixers automatic championship contenders with the trio of Ben Simmon, Embiid and James.

The biggest question here that I don’t think people are noticing is how long is it going to take before James actually sees this tweet? He doesn’t touch social media during the playoffs, and you can imagine the amount of notifications he’s gotten between the start of the playoffs and now.

We’ll see if Embiid’s pitch works out this summer.
