1. Chicago Bulls

Parker was born and raised in Chicago, and just two years ago he wrote a piece for The Players’ Tribune professing his love for his hometown. The Bulls also happen to be in the initial years of a reset/rebuild, with promising pieces like Zach Lavine, Lauri Markkanen, Kris Dunn and Bobby Portis in place. The seventh overall pick is also coming in the draft, so a rebuild may not really take that long in Chicago if it’s done right.

Only three teams have more projected 2018-19 cap space than the Bulls do right now. At the start of the 2017-18 campaign their average age was 24.5 years old, so Parker would fit right into the youth movement with a little bit of playoff experience to boot.

The hometown angle should not be overplayed. But Parker may really want to play for the Bulls, as much as he has any choice in the matter this summer as a restricted free agent. The Bulls could see him as the face of their rebuild, and one of the driving forces for a quick rebound back to playoff contention in the East. Most importantly, they have the financial ability to blow the Bucks out of the water with a big, patently unmatchable offer sheet.
