France come into this game not only as favorites for this game, but as favorites by many to win the whole tournament. Big news came Tuesday morning after young prodigy Kylian Mbappe left training early following a tackle with defender Adil Rami. Luckily for manager Didier Deschamps and company, there’s enough depth at every level to cover for injuries. We’ll see how Mbappe’s training injury affects Deschamps’ tactics going into this game.

On the flip side, Australia come into this game capable of causing an upset. Veteran striker Tim Cahill is always dangerous in the air and is the team’s biggest threat in attack. Midfielder Mile Jedinak is a driving force who can create in the final third. Getting past a tough group along with Peru and Denmark will depend on their result against France. If the Aussies can pull off a draw, they’re in good shape.
