Knowing that one week from today the NBA will probably look very different is one of my favorite sensations. Here at Fastbreak Breakfast, we live for the offseason, free agency, trades, team building, etc. And now that we’ve passed the Finals and are barreling towards the NBA Draft, there are just a few more days until things could really go off the rails.

In just the last 72 hours, Kawhi Leonard leaked that he wanted to leave the Spurs and the betting odds now forecast LeBron James to be a Laker. What could be more exciting than being on the precipice of some potential blockbuster trades? Other than, like, knowing when the actual world will end?

Also covered on a new episode:

  • What are we doing with our newfound free time after the playoffs?
  • Would we engage in any of these Chandler Parsons and the 4th pick trade hypotheticals?
  • Grizzlies owner Robert Pera made a very rare media appearance. Which of the many slightly odd things he said was the most disconcerting?
  • Should the Warriors consider cutting bait with Draymond Green as they start planning how to keep their dynasty rolling beyond the next couple years?
  • Was there something sinister and supernatural in the shocking behind-the-scenes turmoil that David West alluded to?
