Some of these 10 NHL free agents are potentially going to get a lot of money from a team when free agency opens on July 1.

The official beginning of NHL free agency is just two weeks away now, and there are a lot of players that will be up for a new contract.

While there are dozens of players who could be a missing cog for many of the league’s teams, for our purposes, we’re looking at the players projected to be available this summer who are big-time names in line for some long-term deals with a massive annual salary, as well.

Here’s a look at the top 10 NHL free agents heading into Signing Season, beginning July 1.

10. Tyler Bozak

Tyler Bozak is one of a couple important free agents from the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, and he may not be signed back by Toronto. He had 11 goals and 43 points this season after coming off a career 55 points last season. His contract that just finished had him getting $4.2 million per season and there’s a good chance that he gets a raise from that since many teams will be in on the center.

Bozak isn’t a No. 1 center, but he’s a solid No. 2 and is a great third line option on a contending team considering the numbers he’s put up in his career. He’s only had one 20-goal season (2014-2015), but he’s a center that can definitely put up 16-18 goals per season and more than 40 points as well. For a third line center on a team that is challenging for the Stanley Cup, that is fantastic production.

There haven’t been many rumors surrounding where he could go yet, but expect that to change in the next week or so when teams can start talking to free agents before free agency begins.
