Wojciech Szczesnyās mistake cost his team dearly on Tuesday in a 2-1 defeat to Senegal, but where does it rank among the World Cupās worst keeping errors.
Poland goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, conceded a crazy goal against Senegal on Wednesday, costing his team dearly as they slipped to a 2-1 lost to the African side. Poland had already conceded a bizarre opening score when Idrissa Gueye strike deflected off Poland defender, Thiago Cionek, before trickling into the net.
The Poles started the second half the better side, probing the Senegalese defense for an equalizer. Then an awkward high ball was mishandled by the Polish defender under pressure, prompting Szcesny to come rushing out of miles outside his box before completely missing the ball and allowing the Senegal attacker to run away with the ball and tap home from close range.
