When does Riverdale return for season 3?

Wondering when the CW’s Riverdale returns for season 3? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.
Season 2 of the CW’s Riverdale was fantastic, but, like always, we were left wanting more after the season ended.
In a time where streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime drop whole seasons overnight, the wait between seasons of a week-to-week television show is excruciating. Binging is the way to go nowadays, and to make us wait a whole week for an episode feels somewhat barbaric.
The good news is that we do not have that long to wait between Riverdale season 2 and season 3, as the next season of the popular drama/mystery will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 10. The season premiere will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET and run through its usual hour slot.

Ratings were up overall for season 2 with only one episode dropping below one million viewers. Like the first season, however, ratings began to drop significantly throughout the season after the premiere. Whether it’s just Riverdale fatigue or the intrigue of the writing fading over time, it will be important for the writers to try and keep the audience engaged throughout season 3.
Riverdale is a really good show, and it deserves many more seasons. With all the characters, twists, turns and plot twists, there should be enough storylines to go around. It would be a shame if ratings did not reflect that –- the good news is that they definitely do right now.
Interestingly, however, the season premiere will precede the series premiere of the CW’s new show All-American, hinting that the CW really, really wants the new show to get some of the leftover viewers from a popular show like Riverdale.
