Yellowstone series premiere live stream: Watch online

Here’s how you can watch Yellowstone’s series premiere online via live stream or the old-fashioned way right on your television.

Kevin Costner is back on television for the first time since the 2012 mini-series Hatfields & McCoys tonight on Yellowstone. The series premiere airs at 9:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 p.m. Central on the Paramount Network and marks the first time Costner plays a TV series lead regular. You can catch Costner as character John Dutton online with Paramount Network’s official live stream.

Yellowstone is created, written and directed by Taylor Sheridan who wrote the screenplay for Sicario, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Hell or High Water and Wind River. Sheridan portrayed character David Hale in Sons of Anarchy and even appeared on an episode of Walker Texas Ranger back in the ’90s. There’s no doubt Sheridan’s influence had a major impact on convincing Costner to play a regular on Yellowstone.

In the official trailer for Yellowstone, we see John Dutton introduced as a weathered grandfather and the town turned against them. They call the Dutton family as responsible for the town’s stagnation and leading it to an early grave. Meanwhile, a rival tells Dutton that he’s going to buy his ranch and “pull down every fence.” After a barrage of action scenes, the trailer ends with the quote, “Progress. You can’t stop it, John.”

John Dutton will have to fight off rivals from all sides who wish to take away his ranch on tonight’s episode. In the promo trailer, it appears there might either be a father/son altercation or that Dutton’s son will choose to stand with him for a last stand of the ranch.

At the beginning of the promo, we hear Dutton comment, “Someday your son is going to test you and force you to make a decision a father shouldn’t have to make.” However, later in the trailer we hear Dutton’s son informed by others, “A man must stand with his people … And we are not your people.” The series premiere could go either way, Dutton’s son joining him or going against him. Perhaps, both will occur throughout the episode.
