Top 6 picks in the NBA Draft leaked by Adrian Wojnarowski
As the 2018 NBA Draft quickly approaches, one of the league’s top insiders has seemingly leaked the top six selections of the draft.
The 2018 NBA Draft is finally upon us and as usual, things are heating up in the hours leading up to the event. Rumors and leaks have been appearing all over social media today, but none have been as astounding as what ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski just tweeted.
In contradicting fashion to the report that came out earlier this week stating ESPN, Turner and Yahoo Sports analysts will not tip draft picks this year, Wojnarowski has apparently leaked the top six selections of the 2018 NBA Draft.
This “Woj Bomb” comes as a surprise only because of the aforementioned report about leaking picks in this year’s draft. For whatever reason, clearly, Wojnarowski did not take heed to ESPN’s original instructions about the matter.
Aside from the fact that it exists in the first place, not much about the tweet is particularly surprising. If these are indeed the selections that will be made come draft time, it will have gone mostly as we’ve expected.
It has been apparent for weeks that Deandre Ayton would be the Phoenix Sun’s selection with the first pick in the draft, and despite the reported internal debate around the pick, we have known the Sacramento Kings are heavily considering Marvin Bagley for some time.
This of course leaves who many believe is the best player in the draft, Luke Doncic, to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks taking the opportunity to pounce on what may be the best player in the draft comes to the surprise of no one, even though they have been thought to be one of the teams most interested in Jaren Jackson Jr. up to this point.
The fourth pick in Wojnarowski’s tweet is where things start to get interesting. Wojnarowski ominously left out the name of the team who currently owns the fourth pick in the draft, the Memphis Grizzlies. This combined with the fact that we have heard in the last 24 hours that the Grizzlies are looking to trade out of this pick in order to dump Chandler Parson’s contract leads one to believe that a trade may have already been made for this pick that Wojnarowski has elected not to leak. This is an interesting wrinkle to the story seeing that as many as seven teams have reportedly been interested in moving up to the top five of this draft.

The final two picks reported by Wojnarowski, Mo Bamba to the Dallas Mavericks and Trae Young to the Orlando Magic, are two picks that many have speculated is the case for weeks.
It will be interesting to see if Wojnarowski’s leaked top six ends up being accurate, especially with the massive question mark surrounding the fourth pick. Luckily enough, we will find out in just a few hours.
