4. Milwaukee Bucks

An agreement between the Bucks and Favors would probably require the latter taking less than he could receive elsewhere. The Bucks are already over the cap. Such a signing, however, would allow Milwaukee to move Henson to the bench. Of course, they could also pair Favors and Henson together in the frontcourt, seeing as how Favors can step away from the basket offensively.

Having Favors might make Milwaukee more difficult for teams like Boston and Philadelphia to defend in the half court, but the Bucks also need to decide whether they want to be defended in the half court. Shouldn’t they be running as often as possible? Is Favors the best option for cranking up the pace or is he Greg Monroe all over again?

The Bucks know they have a high ceiling, but they also have some difficult decisions to make about how this team will work in the long term and what pieces those mechanisms might require. Do they hold onto Jabari Parker? Do they look to a Derrick Favors? These are exciting times. These are frightening times.

Something about this pairing doesn’t quite fit.
