The NBA Draft has turned into a fashion show in recent years with top prospects wearing lavish and gaudy suits, and this year’s best suit comes from Duke’s Wendell Carter who had his look inspired by Black Panther.

Duke Blue Devils center Wendell Carter is expected to be among the top 7-10 picks in the NBA Draft tonight.

He’s coming off a fantastic freshman season and projects to be an All-Star caliber big in the NBA once he matures and gains experience. While his game is under construction, there’s no denying that he’s already at the top of his fashion game.

Carter showed up to the draft looking sharp. In fact, he told NBA TV that his look was inspired by the blockbuster movie Black Panther.

The movie was the biggest superhero movie at the box office after it was released in February, so if you’re going to take a look from a movie, he picked a good one.

This type of swag makes me think he should be moved up a couple of slots in the NBA Draft. You can already tell he has the self-confidence to step out looking like this. It’s something that could inspire a locker room full of dudes lacking in the fashion arts.

And we already know he’s got great taste in movies to take a page out of Chadwick Boseman’s wardrobe from Black Panther.

All in all, he seems like a guy that has the great game you want from a lottery pick but also has an awareness about him that showcases his cool personality. I’m hoping the Chicago Bulls, my favorite team, take him now as a result.

On a night when draft grades are going to be flying left and right, but are totally irrelevant until we actually see them play, one thing is clear, Wendell Carter is the best dressed and this gets an A+
