2018 BET Awards live stream: Watch online

Here’s how you can watch the 2018 BET Awards hosted by Jamie Foxx online or the old-fashioned way right on your television.

The 2018 BET Awards will broadcast at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. Central / 5:00 p.m. PT on BET. You can catch the official live stream online over at BET.com. Featured performers include Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Migos, 2 Chainz, Janelle Monáe, YG, Miguel, Big Sean, Yolanda Adams, Daniel Caesar, H.E.R., and Jay Rock, to name a couple. Presenters include Tyler Perry, Kevin Hart, T.I., John Legend, Tyra Banks, LL Cool J and many, many more.

Jamie Foxx will be hosting the ceremony for the second time. Prior, Foxx hosted the ninth annual 2009 BET Awards over at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. This year’s eighteenth annual show will once again take place at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, where it’s been held since the 2013 edition (with Chris Tucker as host).

The very first inaugural BET awards were hosted by Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, who hosted the award show’s sequel one year later back-to-back. The venues back then were Paris Las Vegas then the Kodak Theatre, now known as the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will go to singer-songwriter Anita Baker, who has won eight Grammy Awards in her storied career.

The nominees for Album of the Year include Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., Migos’ Culture II, Jay-Z’s 4:44, DJ Khaled’s Grateful, SZA’s Ctrl, and Black Panther’s soundtrack by Kendrick Lamar & other various featured artists (known officially as Black Panther: The Album Music From And Inspired By). Kendrick Lamar has a pretty good chance of winning the category with two album nominations this year. It might surprise new viewers to learn that the Album of the Year category was only first introduced back in 2017. Beyonce won the category last year for the album Lemonade.

When it comes to the cinema, the nominees for Best Movie include Black Panther, Mudbound, A Wrinkle in Time, Detroit, and Girls Trip. Last year, film Hidden Figures won the category. For a complete listing of categories/nominees go to this BET Nominees link.
